Get Into Recovery CIC
Welcome to Get Into Recovery.
Get Into Recovery is my Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to making high-quality recovery education, peer support, and wellbeing activities accessible to everyone. We believe that recovery is more than overcoming addiction—it is about learning the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to build a healthier, happier, and more meaningful life.
Through educational workshops, peer-led support groups, recovery events, community activities, and professional training, we create opportunities for people to learn, grow, and support one another in a safe and welcoming environment.
Whether someone is taking their first steps into recovery, strengthening long-term wellbeing, or supporting others on their journey, Get Into Recovery exists to provide practical education, genuine connection, and lasting hope.
Get Into Recovery CIC, we don't just help people recover - we help them understand recovery, learn recovery, and live recovery.
Proudly Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund
We are proud to have received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund in recognition of the value of our work. This support enables Get Into Recovery to expand access to recovery education, peer support, community activities, and training, helping more people build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for lasting recovery and wellbeing.
What we do
Recovery Movie MeetUps
Our monthly Recovery Movie MeetUps are delivered using the licensed Recovery Movie Meetups® programme, an innovative, evidence-informed approach that uses the power of film and storytelling to encourage reflection, discussion, and personal growth. Through carefully selected Hollywood films exploring themes such as addiction, recovery, mental health, trauma, resilience, and hope, each session creates opportunities for meaningful conversation and genuine connection.
Stories have a remarkable ability to help us see ourselves in others. Watching a character's journey often sparks insights and conversations that might otherwise remain unspoken, creating a relaxed and engaging environment where people can learn, share experiences, and support one another.
Open to people in recovery, families, friends, and supporters, our Movie MeetUps are completely free to attend—and, of course, the popcorn is on us!
RecoveryGames Morning
Our Recovery Games Morning is a fun, relaxed, and welcoming community event where people come together to enjoy board games, card games, puzzles, and other group activities in a safe, alcohol and drug-free environment. While the focus is on having fun, every session is designed to support recovery by encouraging communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and positive social interaction.
Games provide a natural way to build confidence, strengthen relationships, improve concentration and memory, and develop many of the skills that underpin the Quintiva Framework, including emotional resilience, social connection, healthy thinking, and cognitive wellbeing.
Whether you're making new friends, exercising your brain, or simply enjoying a morning of laughter and conversation, our Games Morning is a reminder that recovery is about reconnecting with life as well as with one another. Best of all, it's completely free to attend, with refreshments provided.

Alongside these structured learning opportunities, we offer peer support, community activities, and practical resources that encourage connection, confidence, and lasting personal growth.
